DUNGEONS & DRAGONS

Before I was a game designer, I was a dungeon master who cared about story, immersion, player agency, and worldbuilding.

As a Dungeon Master I now work to design narratively-meaningful mechanics in imaginative worlds.

Cartoon Network Tie-In

Animated Show Tie-In

Cartoon Network hired me to write, design, and advise on the production and presentation of a Dungeons & Dragons compatible tie-in to promote season 2 of their animated fantasy-parody TV show “Tigtone”.

Thematic Design

Tigtone’s brand of humor is extremely unique. To make sure the product represented the world and creators well I worked closely with product managers at Cartoon Network and the executive producers of the show.

Work Product

  • A full single-session adventure

  • Magic items from the show translated into playable magic items in the game

  • Notable characters given D&D stats to serve as NPC allies and adversaries for players to encounter.

Dungeons & Dragons Work

Project Showcase:
Heroes & Villains of Theros

In 2020, I reached out to YouTuber, Tabletop gamer, and D&D enthusiast Dael Kingsmill. Dungeons & Dragons was about to introduce a new setting to the game: Theros. A greek mythology inspired world originally created for Magic: The Gathering.

As total nerds about both D&D and greek mythology, we teamed up to produce Heroes & Villains of Theros, a massive expansion with new subclasses, backgrounds, allies & adversaries, and mythical magic items. We even made videos about it.

The project was incredibly successful and is now a Platinum Bestseller on the DM’s Guild, meaning it has sold over 1,000 copies.

Other RPG Work

Bardlight Studios is a label I developed to self-publish original sci-fi & fantasy tabletop roleplaying games.

For several years I made youtube videos giving advice to dungeon masters on how to run more narratively interesting games.
